Good place but very lonely on a Saturday. They have to attract people before it closes. The muddled were sandy also.
A week ago when Hoboken and Jersey City were hit by the hurricane it was a dismal time. When we could finally get out we were desperate to find a place to have dinner or even a sandwich. We accidentally found Oconnell's who were one of a few places open. They could not serve their full menu but had 8 items on a hand wrriten menu and apologized saying they could only take cash because of the power outages. We found it friendly and people were trying to work with a skeleton crew during tough circumstances. We returned a few days later still with a limited menu and had the pot pie which was amazing. Tonight we are going back again. Love this place and their food is excellent! I see there are two people that complained in their comments during this same time period. It was a devastating storm and you're complaining about a Coke and slow service? Get serious. This place is great!
Never been to a restaurant that charges $2.50 for a 12 oz glass of coke with no refills in the dining area. Seeing $13.50 in coke and ice tea was quite an unpleasant shock.
On top of that, they seemed to have forgotten us. We sat waiting for food for literally an hour.
Live one block away...never went back.
