“Al Ameera is a hidden gem in the area. This place has gone through various managements but the current management has been the best thing that has ever happened to the place. The food is amazing and authentic. Generous portions and freshly made food. The Mixed Platter was great, especially the chicken shish. The owner is super nice and generous. We got more than we ordered on the house. It is not everyday you get to meet the brains behind the scene. He made sure to come and ask himself if we need anything multiple times. Doesn't get more personalized than this. This will definitely be the go to spot from now on.”

“It's a classic Dominican place with a mom like figure working in the kitchen! The food is amazing. 6$ per plate for lunch special and you get a lot of food. I posted a pic of how the to go box is like. They don't have a menu though, the theme is more like "what's been cooked for the day." You get a good range of options so don't be too worried. By the way everyday is a new "plate", meaning the entres change daily. It's a small place that looks a bit run down, but don't let the drive you away, the kitchen is gold. You can go inside to sit and eat there, it's got a nice home like feel there. It's better to use cash here instead of cards, using card add extra fees. Overall really good place to eat if you're in a hurry or super hungry.”

I've been a loyal customer here for over 20 years and for good reason. This is the best Cuban sandwich you'll ever have. Pro tip: Order the Cubano Especial and ask for it to be a little well done. “We had a blast. Life size #jenga game was fun to watch drunk people play. The hookah was limited to Blueberry or Mint only which was kinda weak. The Manager was super friendly and very accommodating though, I don't want to take away from his willingness to even throw us another coal and hookah load for free to keep smoking had we stayed longer. The music was a bit overwhelming but understandably as there were dozens of conversations at various levels in Spanish and English. To help establish the atmosphere. Hope it helps. Enjoy”
