Firehouse Subs

Anyone bold enough to open a sub shop in NJ had better come correct. They, unsurprisingly, do not. The only remarkable thing about this shop is the mission. Food is just meh. The design is such that you cannot see how the ppl assemble the food, which works to everyone’s disadvantage - if I want more of something, such as tomatoes, I have to go back up for it... And they have to service me multiple times. This is also just not how sub shops work!!

I’ve been seeing these pop up all over NJ, and have been wanting to try it. However, one experience is enough for me. I’d rather go to a local, authentic place whenever that is an option.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t say that the staff are lovely.

Stopped in for lunch today. We were served by Dhvani.
We were met by both the man & woman serving with a “Welcome to Firehouse”, the restaurant was clean & tidy, the restroom was equally as tidy. And I was really impressed by the friendly, helpful customer service.
Dhvani was knowledgeable & instead of just getting subs & leaving, we ended up with combos & ate lunch in the restaurant.
Really pleased we chose to stop in for lunch, & we will be back next time we’re over here.

This place is awesome. They always greet me by name when I walk in. Still trying a bunch of their offerings but the New York steamer and Cajun chicken are my favorites so far.

I dropped in for lunch while visiting from out of town. This is a very clean store with friendly, attentive staff. The food was delicious and fixed exactly as ordered. Will definitely return!

Friendly staff - when you enter, everyone greets you at the same time. I don't know if that's a Firehouse thing, or unique to this owner, but I thought that was really cool. I think this place is family owned.

They have a clean store, the food is great & they are insanely fast with service. I think this place is my new favorite. If you can put up with the traffic in the surrounding areas, it's worth stopping in here. They also have a decent selection of hot sauces on the counter for you to drown your sub in.

Keep up the great work. Your sweet & spicy meatball sub is amazing. I love you.
