Jamaican Empire

The food was excellent! I had the red snapper with rice and beans, cabbage, and plantains. My son had the curry goat, rice & beans, and cabbage. I don't eat meat but my son loved his food everything was so flavorful and needed no extra seasoning. They also make their own juices which was also very good.

Very good, low-cost Jamaican food if you're in the area and have a taste for it. Their service is much quicker than other places like Hummingbird or Bamboo Grill. I came in during the middle of lunch on a weekday. No line at all, probably because it's not either downtown or on a major street.

Got the medium jerk chicken with rice and peas, plantain, and a beef patty. Jerk chicken was exceptionally cooked. A bit boney but really well-seasoned and tender. Rice and peas were great and so was the plantain (if you mess up sweet, fried plantain then you don't deserve to cook Latin American/Caribbean/West African food). Beef patty was flaky and good. Could have been spicier but that's just my preference. I'll be back!

the owner is extremely friendly and kind, and my and kids and I eat there often, the oxtails are great, my family loves the brown stew chicken, and her beef patties are excellent. the portions are large and she is not stingy with the gravy. Good food

I took a risk and tried this place for the first time and used UBER Eats. I had the curry chicken and it had the perfect amount of spice and they were generous with the gravy. They even gave a courtesy call because they were out of beef patties and offered the chicken patties. Completely satisfied.

Jamaican empire has very good food! It’s very clean and very friendly people. The owner herself allows you to sample her food, which was very much a surprise and honor to be serve well! .
Her carrot juice and Irish moss home made juice are delicious too!
I also love her chicken foot soup.
