To order certain things you kinda need to know how to read chinese or you would have to tediously ask workers to translate everything thats not on the paper menu or window stickers for you
Good food, love the rib rice now
This restaurant is a mix of Chinese food and hot pot because people can choose their own soup base, noodles, and meat. I have a picture of the menu below. The food is okay, nothing really stood out for me. However, the staff is super friendly and nice and it's very affordable!!
Good quality with huge amount, recommend!
Happy Eating opened up recently and we decided to give it a try.
The food is kind of a mix between Chinese hot pot and noodle soups. You can get noodle soups where you select the type of noodles (glass, housemade, egg), the type of meat, and various ingredients (similar to what you'd find in a hot pot place). You can also select if you want your's spicy or not. There is also a make-your-own sauce station similar to a hot pot place.
My wife and I got two lunch specials which include a noodle soup and appetizer. I selected spicy for my meal and I'd say it wasn't spicy enough, although using the sauce station helped. The soup with a large variety (and generous portions) of meats and vegetables in it reminded me of a hot pot meal. The broth was quite good and had a very meaty flavor.
The decor is okay, nothing fancy. There are a few cute items on the walls. Service was fine and the restaurant wasn't busy at all when we went (maybe because its still new).
Overall, its like having a personal hot pot meal prepared for you. I'd try it again.
