Update: dined in and it’s even better! Compared to other nearby restaurants where waiting time is >1h, this restaurant has plenty of seats and unlikely need waiting. The service and the dishes are all perfect!
Ordered a to go and everything tastes pretty good!!
Pretty good food and service. We loved Sichuan Spring that was at the same location, so we had doubt before trying. The dishes are actually not bad. We had fish, chicken with lotus and pepper, long green beans, pancake with pork, and Chef Ge chicken. Besides the Chef Ge chicken, all other dishes are highly recommended. Rice was complimentary and was tasty. Not saying Chef Ge chicken was bad, but it was a cold dish and I have bought a very similar one from Asian Food Market. So, we didn’t have that “wow” moment for the Chef Ge chicken. We had a good time. The price is very reasonable. The music was a little too loud but the restaurant was very clean and organized.
Shredded chicken with pepper and hemp - Just okay. Something new to try once.
Hot and sour fern root noodles - Interesting dish. Never had before. Tastes good.
Shredded seaweed with Thai chili - Spicy, garlicky, sour. Tastes great.
Braised duck wings - Needs to stew longer for more flavor. Tastes okay.
Mapo tofu - Tastes good but needs more spiciness.
Fried pork with pineapple - Sweet and a tiny bit of sour. Tastes great.
Sliced fish in hot chili sauce - Tastes good but needs more spiciness.
Cumin lamb - Good cumin flavor. Spicy. Needs more meat.
Kung pao chicken - Just okay. Needs more spiciness.
Friendly service. The taste was good and above average among Edison Chinese restaurants. I would recommend to give it a try.
