“The place is convenient, the staff is nice and serves fast. My coffee is almost always perfect. However I've noticed it depends on who makes it. For example, my caramel latte today didn't have caramel. I think they should train all the staff on the standard preparation and stick to it so customers can have what they expect to have every time. Coffee is very important to start a good day.”

“Wow! These people, the staff, have got to be very patient with the crowd it draws in. They are dealing with a majority of college students coming from Monmouth University and younger locals that stop by after a night of getting hammered in local bars. This place is open really late so that is the type of people it will draw in at those times. They often have so many problems there is always one security guy there, although I have seen two at a time. Even one of the security guys, John, who looks to be on his fifties, is really a nice man. He always says hello. But as for the people serving up the food, they are extremely nice. I wish I could quote this one guy's name, he always takes care of me. All I can say is he has dark hair, goatee, he is young family man and he is often the reason I put money in their tipping jar twice before I leave when I actually should be saving money.”

“Max’s just reopened after significant renovations and redesign to the space. Recently went there to see how the new Max’s is compared to the previous version. First the good. Good location off of Ocean Ave. There is parking on the property and on the side streets and near the ocean (but not on the ocean nor it has any ocean views). Still has the foot long hot dogs which Max’s is known for. The bar area has been redesigned as has the layout if the seating areas. There are some nice booths which are behind a wall which separates the bar from the booths. Also there is a separate area that is a “traditional” counter service space set off from the bar and the rest of the dinning area. Things that need to be considered: Found the price for a hot dog to be pricey compared to the Windmill which is only a few blocks away The hot dog bun was a standard size, not a foot long. My companion had the vegetarian burger and found it had no taste and would not order again. The onion rings were very good. Crispy and not oily. There is a nice selection if IPA beers available. Although they were not busy, it was noisy in the dinning area as the floor is sealed concrete, there is no ceiling and there for no noise abatement. If in the area, it is worth a moment to stop in as Max’s is a known shore icon. However, in my opinion, better prices and food selections can be found at other close locations.”

“This place is a gem hidden in long branch... I've eaten here twice and absolutely enjoyed my meals. The first time I had a steak burrito and it was absolutely delicious. Today I drove in from NY and stopped by. The moment I walked in I was greeted with friendly smiles. I ordered the steak tacos and they did not disappoint...
