Came for the first time to check out their Karaoke night. Had an order of mozzarella sticks. They were chunky and crispy . The people here were very welcoming and I had a good time singing some old tunes at the karaoke. They have plenty of parking as well. Will be back
Nice place. Very roomy, nice people, awesome waitstaff. Entertainment daily. The food on the other hand needs heavy improvement.
I understand they have overhead costs for their property but, $13.50 for a chicken parm sandwich which consists of a frozen chicken patty, a few spoons of marinara that was dried on top with a small sprinkle of cheese on a brioche roll with fries, pickle, and slaw seems to be a bit much. A pizzeria would have charged you nearly the same for a more enjoyable sandwich. Save your money, and eat at Wawa down the road before you go. The other thing that bothered me quite heavily was the fact that they charged extra tax to the bill which I've only seen another bar/restaurant do. They charge for food tax, and alcohol tax on top of regular tax for the bill. Why not just say TAX and add it all together?! Why show the difference?
Other than that, the place isn't all that bad. If they improve on their food selection a bit, maybe hire a different cook, this establishment could be a really great place altogether.
Place was empty and wait staff was all standing around talking. Took over 10 mins to get a menu. We were discussing at that point where we should go since it seemed we weren’t getting food there. Finally someone brought us the menu. The food took forever to come out even thu the place was empty. I am pretty sure someone was smoking in the building in a back room the whole building smelled like cigarettes. I think this place would be great for night life. I think they had a country band playing that night. Deff would check out the after dinner activities. Seem like a good place to see a band play
After a few early stumbles caused (learned at the end of the evening) by multiple last-minute call outs, the establishment owner came to our table to check on us.
He arranged to replace a dish we ordered that did not first meet expectations. The replacement dish was excellent.
The owner (I wish I had gotten his name) proceeded to check on tables, bus dishes, serve customers, and do everything possible to fill the gaps from being short several employees.
Based on what I observed, the owner cares for his employees and customers. I would bet that he expected a much more relaxing evening personally, but when the situation called for it, he jumped in to help. It made a huge difference.
I plan to return again, perhaps after the weather gets a bit better and it's less likely to have multiple call-outs on one evening. I imagine when the place is running full-tilt it must be amazing! I think it will be well worth the hour drive.
The Nook is amazing. The burger was outstanding, the fries were hot, the pickle and slaw were excellent and the prices are easily the best in the area.
