They serve a variety of toppings on the thinnest pizza bases you can think of. Also have a very good selection of draft beers and cocktails. Prices are a little bit on the higher side but it is definitely a place to visit if you are looking for a fine dining kind of experience for eating pizzas. Great place to bring a date or hang out with friends. Service is also excellent.
This place has a great menu and not just for pizza. Their pizza is very good with some unique house pies, and their pizzas come in personal sizes so you can order multiple pies. Their pasta options are also worth a try. The other great thing about Wood Stack is their cocktail menu.
Cool industrial style decor with exposed ceiling and a lot of little accents, like the axe handles on the doors. Great selection of craft beer, there's something for everyone without being overwhelmed by too many choices. Margherita pizza was quite good, crust had just the right balance between crispy and chewy. Sauce wasn't too sweet and the basil was fresh. Good selection of whiskey as well.
I will admit I avoided this place when it first opened due to some negative reviews. But a friend of mine invited me out for a drink and I figured I would give it a shot. What did I like? The food was really good. I'm a huge fan of pizza and this was up there probably in my top five. The server was knowledgeable and really friendly and funny. What did I not enjoy? I thought the prices might have been just a hair on the high side but nothing perhaps you would not see elsewhere in North Jersey. My biggest gripe was that I thought service was a little slow especially since it wasn't that crowded of an evening. That will not stop me from going back however!
Minestrone Soup had great flavor but the peas were not fully boiled. There was a bite to them which I wouldn't expect from a pea. The olives were HUGE, never seen them that large and they didnt have too much of the brine flavor because they were cooked. Had orange zest on it which was very interesting on every bite. Came for the margarita pizza but tasted a bit salty and once the pizza cooked just a bit, it became rubbery. The aesthetics of the place was very nice. Nice place to hang out and get drinks, food could be better but could just be what I ordered.
