The Farmer’s Daughter is definitely worth trying! My grandmother recommended we try it and we both enjoyed the atmosphere, menu options and fantastic staff. We started with the deviled eggs and corn bisque soup. We both had salads and added salmon to them which was absolutely delicious! We were both so full but couldn’t resist the pudding option on the menu! So good! Check it out and support local. The wines are even local; High point and Wantage wines! When done with dinner stroll (through the restaurant) into their shop which is filled with a lot of eclectic items! Perfect for Christmas time! Looking forward to going back again and especially can’t wait to see what the owner does with her menu throughout the seasons!

This is one the best dining experience I've ever had! For starters the vibes are so cozy yet fun, with the service keeping a smile on our faces the whole time! The food was amazing, I got the BBQ chicken with fingerling potatoes. The chicken just fell right off the bone and the potatoes melted with every bite.😋 Overall, great atmosphere, great/fresh food, 20/10 !

I have tears of gratitude from my Soul for this Divine place! Having grown up a Sussex County girl this speaks my Souls language and my bodys’ desires. They embody the name The Farmers Daughter with no detail left undone.

You feel as though you have walked off the farm and into the creation of the farms harvest. The food is heaven to your mouth. It is as fresh as can be. They own farm to table from a Farmers Soul. The presentation from the moment you stand in awe of the beauty created on Main Street takes you on the journey of how we actually can do food right and bless the Farmers who have now been met Soul to Soul with delivering their delicious food to the humans in the most artful of ways.

This has been the missing concept in Newton for years that will bring this town alive once again. The people are here just waiting for their desires to be met so they don’t have to travel outside this town or county to feed their Soul as their bodies crave. It is like coming home for me. Blessings to the beautiful Soul of the owner who answered the call of her Soul honoring the heritage of this great county. Farm to table can be done here and done right!

Much love for bringing this Country Girl home!

My mom and I stumbled upon this store while walking down Main St and we were blown away! So cute, so rustic, literally something for everyone! They had clothing, novelty items, country chic decor, and local market items. I left with a very comfortable sweatshirt, a bar soap stand and glass ice cubes for specialty cocktails! Looking forward to visiting again and for the coming restaurant. Good luck The Farmer's Daughter!

This store deserves 10/5 stars. For starters the outside is beautiful and definitely is a breath of fresh air to spring street. When I entered the building I was greeted by a woman who I assume to be the owner. She was so lovely, extremely friendly & very talkative (in a good way). She showed us around the spacious area that had the cutest local (Newton) pride. They had everything from clothing (boutique style), to pins, to antique papers, candles, cups, local cheeses, pickles & meat. This place is amazing so cute. I CAN NOT wait to see how they do with the small restaurant they are opening next door where they were serve a rotating selection of local food. 10/10 will be returning to this store and telling everyone I know!
