Definitely check this place out if you never had a meal in a train car diner. Eggs, home fries with bacon are my favorite. It is a popular place during morning hours especially on weekend , so make sure to arrive before 8am if you want booth seating.

Let me tell you something. I love diners. I'm from Jersey. It's in my blood. But this diner. It might be the smallest one I've ever been in, and it was far from fancy but out of all the diners I've tried in my lovely home state, this was BY FAR the best I've ever had. The grilled chicken sandwich and the French onion soup was as good as you can have it. The staff is so incredibly friendly. We will hands down be back here again. Many times.

Super fast service. Friendly. Good, fresh food made as you order (not sitting around and warmed up). Only downside is very limited space - 8 booths only, then counter service.

Great food in such a tiny package! Every time I’ve gone, they have gotten my order right. The converted train car gives it a cozy feel, which goes along with the tasty food. I highly recommend corned beef and egg and sausage for any meal. If you want authentic diner food, come here.

I grew up in Summit, NJ in the 50's and recently came back to visits and had to go for lunch to the Summit Diner. It wouldn't be a visit to Summit without going to the diner. Perfect atmosphere and great food, served fast too. I had two friends from England with me and it was the highlight of their trip too. Thank you Summit Diner for making it memorable.
