The restaurant is well designed, the food is better than average and they put a unique spin on traditional New Mexican classics, when they are not out of it. Our waiter started off by greeting us with a laundry list of menu items they were either out of or no longer carried. We were there on a super slow evening with only 2 other people in the restaurant at the peak dinner time of 6:30 and the employees looked like they didn't want to be there and our waiter was not very attentive, especially since we were his only table. Maybe the weekends are better? Who knows??
The food was absolutely incredible. Will easily go back again. And they have really incredible artwork as well.
This was an amazing experience. The museum was awesome and the restaurant was the perfect place to relax after a long day. The quiet ambiance and friendly staff was just what the doctor ordered. As for the food, it was simply perfect. The blue corn onion rings are hands down the BEST I've ever had. Really, everything we ordered was spectacular. Definitely a must visit every time I am in Albuquerque.
We wanted to try several dishes and ended up ordering too much. Pueblo feast is best shared between 3 or more. I believe that the dishes are as authentic as you can get them and instead of offering my typical critique highly recommend to open your mind and palate. I was very happy about the green chilli pesole, the fry bread, (all the breads actually), and the vegetables, but you might like the mutton dishes better.
