TAMASHI

In my opinion this is the second best sushi in Albuquerque. But it's barely behind the place with the best sushi. And it has better chairs. So I guess depending on how into furniture you are, it might be the best. Either way... The sushi was good. The service was absolutely excellent. And the chairs were pretty cool.

Been a long time fan of the east side location! And this did not disappoint. Same high quality service and food. So glad to have this location closer to home!

The customer service was excellent. I really can't overstate how kind and attentive the servers were and how much I appreciated how they gave us our space while also paying close attention to when we needed refills or our plates cleared.

That being said, I really wish that I could wholeheartedly recommend the food. Some items feel cheap or prepackaged (the egg rolls in particular taste no better than something I could microwave and the sauce is basically the same kind I get with store-bought sushi). The Beef-Yaki Udon tasted good, but not great. Something about the meat just felt a bit too chewy and neither the blend of flavors nor their aroma did much for me. Overall, I got the sense that the menu needed to be much smaller.

For five dollars less, I could see myself coming back, but this isn't worth a dining experience. There are just better options for the same price or cheaper and I'd rather pay less for the food and tip more for the service.

Good delivery option if you don't have Japanese cuisine near you, though.
