Tamashi West

Second time I’ve been in here and this is my favorite sushi place in ABQ and is top five of all the places I’ve been. The food is fresh. The service is fantastic. The servers are so nice and attentive. Their timing is impeccable without being overbearing. If you haven’t tried it here don’t wait! Come eat sushi here! This photo doesn’t do the food justice. This was the first bento box I ordered here-I’ve tried many bento’s and if I lived in ABQ I’d eat this at least once a week.

If you're looking for a fantastic Japanese restaurant in Albuquerque, Tamashi is definitely worth a visit.

One of the standout dishes was the Avocado Bomb, which was absolutely delicious. The creamy avocado paired perfectly with the spicy tuna and crab meat, and the dish was beautifully presented. However, I was not as impressed with the Takoyaki. It seemed like it was cooked from frozen, which made the texture a bit off.

On the other hand, the sushi rolls were outstanding. We ordered the Philadelphia, Vegas, and Volcano rolls, and they were all fresh and packed with flavor. The combination of ingredients was perfectly balanced, and the presentation was beautiful.

Another aspect that stood out was the exceptional service we received from the staff. They were delightful and went out of their way to ensure we had an enjoyable experience.

The first time I went here was amazing, food and atmosphere was great. This place does get busy so we did have to wait which is fine. The second time we went, majority of the food: squid salad, spicy ramen, and sushi roll was really salty. Will try this place again, hopefully food won’t be too salty.

The food was good, the staff was awesome, and the price was fair. The only thing I didn't like was how wobbly my table was.

Excellent atmosphere. Friendly service and phenomenal food. The fried banana dessert is amazing! Food is well prepared! That ramen is delicious with great umami!
