When I first started coming here, I didn't expect much since they're in a small town mall. But I was pleasantly surprised how good the burritos were.

However I have to say this last visit today was a major disappointment. I got two burritos and both were very underwhelming. Neither one had very much meat and the flavor wasn't anything like I expected.

Absolutely, hands down the best Mexican food we’ve had. Everything is hand made and delicious. Blanca is a great server with a beautiful smile!

Apparently this place is the reason UFOs go so far out of their way to visit. La Salsa is worth stopping in Roswell even if you're just passing through! The restaurant is embedded in a mall but they have a separate entrance and open at 7 a.m. I got breakfast - two eggs with bacon, hash browns, tortilla and pancakes. Truly spectacular - eggs cooked exactly like I asked, bacon was crispy, pancakes were fluffy, hash browns were a style I'm not used to but very delicious, tortilla was huge and definitely homemade. They even threw in a yummy sopapilla. I asked them to smother the eggs and hash browns in red chili sauce, which was perfect. They have a condiment bar with about a dozen items, most of them salsas. I got the blackened jalapenos and onions that had been marinated in a soy sauce based marinade. Never had that before but it was wonderful. Staff was friendly. Bathroom spotless.

They have a salsa bar! We had a yummy breakfast. Biscuits and gravy with egg and hashbrowns is what I had. The Carne asada was delicious. So was the shrimp ceviche! They also have a bowl of menudo. Prices are reasonable, especially when you see the plate you get! You can also get a sopapilla with or without cinnamon.
