I stopped by to get some food and got a cup of ice cream, and what I saw was really disgusting. The person ordered a drink, and the staff getting the customer drink touched her nose, scratched her hair, and then put the unwrapped straw in her drink. The staff didn't wash hands. My request was she wash her hands before she served my ice cream and changed her gloves.
I went over yo the retail side and looked around at other items they had in the store. That's when Andy asked if everything was ok. Wow, we had an awesome conversation about several topics of our life experiences. If you get the chance, stop by and talk to Andy and they have a lot of interesting items in their store.
Food was good, store was clean and packed with a wide variety of souvenirs, gifts, and more. Everyone was polite and helpful.
On the middle of a long trip across country, we were stalled as the freeway was closed in New Mexico due to bad weather and poor management by NM government. Well I was glad this is where we paused for a bit. They were very kind, quickly directing everyone stopping on to restrooms and DQ. They provided helpful information regarding travel updates and spending time waiting in the store was more enjoyable with all the interesting stuff they had. I recommend stopping here for service and kind greetings on your journeys.
Miss Caroline (Manager) was very considerate and a sweet lady. Being the very first time in the store was very nice. I will not suggest a Dairy Queen just because of a certain incident but Miss Caroline made it better.
But I highly recommend walking around the store itself because there are so many cute items and unique different knickknacks that someone might like.
They have some really beautiful backpacks and purses. I had bought myself some moccasins.
I'm so excited!
The outside of the building makes you feel like you're at the wrong spot. It looks like a dairy queen with gas pumps lol.
LOTS of cool gifts here!! Very inexpensive Mexican ponchos, geodes, fireworks, magnets, shirts, jewelry, and MUCH MUCH more souvenirs. Definitely a nice place to stop! There is also a DQ in the shop.
Bathrooms at large, but definitely outdated.
It doesn't feel like there's AC in the place - it's HOT! So don't expect to cool off here.
