Sushi in Las Cruces. Every sushi place i have tried here is about the same. All about the same quality and priced accordingly.

Habachi experience
The service was great. Our waiter was very courteous and tentative our needs. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't good either it was ok.. The food just lacked flavor. From what I'm accustomed to the rice portions were small as well. Sakura is ok.

Post-Covid update.. Waitress wore mask. Clean floors and tables. Noticed staff wiping surfaces with bleach solution. Felt clean and safe. Literally in and out. One hour total, if that. Waitress waited on us very attentively. She was quick and pleasant. 3 apps, soups, salads, Sushi, 2 hibachi lunch with filet & shrimp.. everything was fresh and delicious. Kept drinks on full. Brought everything we requested immediately. To-go boxes and check were available as soon as we asked. Highly impressed. Can’t wait to return. 5 stars. ✨

So glad to find this gem. Best variety so far in our desert sushi experiment. The sushi was great, with the Hamachi being the one on point that night. I would say their rice is a little off but even my favorite places sometimes have their wonky nights so I don't want to judge by 1 night and the quick cheerful service and beautiful presentation made up for it... AND I found hokkigai in the desert AND it was good! Need I say more.
