El Nopal

We were in Carlsbad on a road trip and grabbed some dinner at El Nopal at the end of a long day. The host was very patient with us and our questions. They gave us chips and an amazing spicy green salsa while we were waiting for our food, which came pretty fast since we visited about an hour before closing time and there were few other customers. The food tasted great and they gave us pretty good portion sizes. We all left very satisfied and we would definitely return if given the chance.

Congratulations on the new opening of an amazing restaurant. The food is so flavorful that's rare to find now days. The employees are so friendly. Thank you.

This place has great food and excellent service. The chips and salsa are way better than any other restaurant I've been to in Carlsbad.

We have a meal from here at least once or twice a month. Always very good. We usually have the chile relleno plate, but everything we've had has been good. Friendly and fast service, too.

I really liked the chile relleno plate I ordered. The batter was really good, the chile was not too spicy. The plate came with a little lettuce, pico de gallo, tortillas, mexican rice and beans that had a good flavor, a little less salt than I like but I eat too much salt anyway. The service was fast and friendly. Their menu has several other things I'd like to try, including dessert.
