The food was amazing. I'm not one to like seafood much, but their octopus was really well done. The sauce for the salad and how they seasoned and flavored both my husband's and my dish was spectacular. The only draw back is that they didn't have a drink menu with alcohol, but they did have a range of non-alcoholic drinks that made up for it.
The seafood was fresh. The food was good.
The salsa was incredibly spicy. It's the same salsa that's used in the ceviche, so be aware that it's going to be much hotter than your typical ceviche.
The music was loud for a dine-in restaurant.
The waitress was very soft-spoken and when asked to repeat anything because of the loud music, she refused to increase her own volume or come closer to be better understood.
Outstanding little find on the way back from Carlsbad Caverns! Friendly staff, delicious food. Outside and inside dining with bottled Mexican sodas or American cans.
Chips and salsa unique. Almost like a pico de gallo combined with coctél sauce.
My wife, daughter and I had the Avocado with shrimp ceviche, the Flank Steak tacos, and the Pasta with Shrimp. All were amazing. Flank steak was flavorful and there was lots of it. But the amount of shrimp in the pasta dish was amazing. Highly recommend.
I'll admit that once I found out this place had a drive-thru, I wasn't holding out much hope. But we gave them a try nonetheless, mostly because of all the positive Google reviews.
They did not disappoint. The food was delicious. I have no complaints.
I cannot believe I just spent $100 at a place that has a drive-thru. If I'm ever in town again, I'll be eating here again.
Had a great meal here last week after visiting Carlsbad National Park. There's a great, shared outdoor patio but we chose to sit inside at the bar. Even at the bar there was waiter service.
Service was friendly and quick. The gratis chips and salsa were a nice surprise. The salsa was very heavy in the green bell pepper which wasn't my favorite.
We had the octopus ceviche which was okay. It was less about the dish itself and more about how I wished I had ordered shrimp instead. It just didn't hit the same.
The drunken shrimp tacos were the highlight by far though the tilapia was a nice healthish dish. It also gave me the opportunity to try all the incredible hot sauces they had.
If you're in a hurry there is also a drive thru window for pickup/takeout. Overall a good spot for some seafood in Carlsbad. I'd love to go back and sample more of the menu.
