Lea County Inn

It is a very good motel staff is very awesome and super friendly rooms are very nicely done it is a very great stay when we go I would highly recommend it you will not be disappointed but like everything some people are different and have different likes but I love it

I come to Hobbs every 4-6 weeks for volunteer work. I have typically stayed at a chain hotel, but there was a big event going on this particular time and all the hotels I checked were either booked up or had raised their prices. Every time I'm in town I drive past the Lea County Inn, so I checked out their reviews and then decided to take a chance and make a reservation. I am so glad that I did! It will be my first choice of accommodations from now on. Two nights were just $156 including tax (keep in mind all the other hotels in town had raised their prices because of the event that was happening). The woman at the front desk was very friendly and told me she had cookies in the oven and to check back shortly if I wanted some. My room was SPOTLESSLY clean!!! It had everything I could need - mini fridge, microwave, desk and chair, small loveseat and coffee table, TV, shampoo/conditioner/soap, etc. There were lots of outlets for plugging in all the things we need to charge these days. The free WiFi was fine for everything I needed to do online (about 8 Mbps download, versus my hotspot which was only about 4 Mbps). The bed was a bit softer than I like, but everyone has their own preference about such things. I was their for two nights and it was very quiet the entire time. The hotel is only two stories high and I was on the second floor, so there wasn't anybody stomping above my head. They serve a free continental breakfast, but I only popped by one morning to grab a small muffin and a bottle of water so I didn't pay much attention to the rest of the offerings. I did speak with the young woman who was working there and she was very pleasant and polite. I'll wrap this up now...I have to go make new reservation at Lea County Inn for my next trip to Hobbs!

Both the evening and morning clerks were friendly, the rooms were very clean, and the mattresses were of good quality. I did not take advantage of the included breakfast, but they did have bananas, coffee and half-and-half in the breakfast room after hours. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for good value for the money.

Affordable, clean & super friendly staff! The pool was closed but it wasn’t a big deal to us. If you are planning to sleep in on a weekday, you may want to ask for a room near the front of the hotel or on the second floor as the back door can be loud when other guests are leaving for work early in the morning. Overall five stars for the price and comfort of the room!
