A great find while visiting Santa Fe. Excellent presentation and really tasty. We hope to be back soon to try a few of the other interesting dishes. Enjoyed the Japanese beers.
Excellent food & service. Our server Greg did a great job and helped us with the best food selection. The food was not only delicious but had wonderful flavor’s. Highly recommend Paper Dosa South Indian Cuisine if your in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Was in Santa Fe on the 4th of July weekend and was looking for Indian food. Saw great reviews for this place and decided to give it a go. Was surprised when I checked their website and they listed that they don’t take reservations. Anyways as the opening time was 5 PM, reached there at 5:30 PM thinking would easily get a table as who eats dinner this early. When I reached there, to my surprise, all tables were full. The hostess greeted us and gave us the bar stools. After a wait of 15 mins got a table. Ordered bhel and Dahi bhalla as appetizers. Food was plated professionally. Both tasted ok but not great. Ordered PAPER DOSA and Mysore Chutney dosa for mains. The paper dosa was made very crispy but was a bit greasy to my liking. Mysore chutney was not cooked completely. It was not raw but lacked the crisp of a dosa. Chutney with dosa we’re great and sambhar even though not authentic, tasted ok. Not actually authentic South Indian.Didn’t had the capacity to eat deserts thus ordered the masala chai. That was the biggest disappointment. It tasted as if it had been boiling for hours. Very bad taste and ruined the overall experience. Service was quick and amazing. 2 stars for food and an extra star for service. Will I go again? Maybe but not too sure as it’s definitely not worth 5 stars.
hell ya to the biggest dosa I've seen!!
really delicious time here at paper dosa.. we got the special and added cheese (really recommend doing so )
parking is available upfront but tight
service was fairly fast and the food we had delicious
staff was kind and gave suggestions, would recommend for anyone who wants a change from new Mexican food
My partner and I went in on a whim and felt like we hit the restaurant lottery. After a 30 minute wait, we got to sit at the bar and immediately ordered some delicious food. Started with the bhel puri which may have been the perfect appetizer. Perfectly seasoned, sweet, sour, crunchy, starchy. I ordered the chicken curry (well spiced and fragrant,) which was good. Not as good as the dosa we got though. We ordered it with lamb keema and it was the best thing we ate on our trip to Santa Fe so far. Prices were very good compared to the quality of food. I think we're used to paying more for less.
