Plaza Cafe Southside

Every time I go to the Plaza Cafe Southside, I promise myself to come back more often. The service is always fantastic, the food terrific, the drinks just right and the atmosphere pleasant. On this visit, the place was decked out for Christmas and very beautiful. My meal was excellent, hot from the kitchen, cooked to order and served without delay. The margaritas were expertly prepared by a friendly and professional bartender. Everyone I interacted with from arrival to departure was great.

A very solid experience with good food and good service. It did take a bit to get served, but it is quite popular - so be aware at brunch and lunch hours.

Recommended by a tour guide, we enjoyed hearing the local lore attached to this restaurant and had to check it out. The food was great and the service was too! I got the turkey melt, which came on a green chile bread that was amazing. My husband got the calf liver special which he also enjoyed. Service was quick for a late arrival - we showed up at 8:15 and had the check at 8:40 (which was exactly what we were hoping for). Loved the diner style food with the blend of local flavors - really well done.

Awesome food and amazing service! I had the fish tacos. They were delicious! Loved the beautiful outdoor seating.

Excited to find a different place to try in Santa Fe. Awesome greeting and not a long wait. The blue corn enchilada was delicious, the chicken fried steak reads on the menu that it is hand breaded, but note: it's not hand breaded in house, very, VERY thin but huge and flavorful! Do not pass up trying the Green Chile cheese toast with raspberry jam, I'm not a fan of raspberry but the flavor combination is wonderful. Francois was not a server that Plaza Cafe would (or should) want representing their establishment. Service felt annoyed with having to be at work, not a smile, not a suggestion, not attentive, overall very disappointed. Watching other servers and the pleasant feel of this restaurant, I'm hoping it was an off day, however, sadly, I believe it's not the case. Service was the only disappointment. Yummy food, pleasant atmosphere. Give Plaza Cafe a visit!
