Always delicious. Very much enjoy the soup of the day, don't ever not get it. The patty melt and the Monte Cristo with grape jelly are my go-to, but everything is delicious.

Great atmosphere and a cool 70s feel. Everything was fine except the waitress and her attitude/service... Never offered a refill on my coffee and never came back around to see if we needed anything else. I tried to get her attention a couple times but just finally gave up.

I love the atmosphere of this older style restaurant . people were very friendly food was good but unfortunately we had a really bad server named Ashley .
I wouldn't even call her a waitress .
She stole our table from a different waitress . When she took her order she was rude and when I got the food she tossed my food towards me and when she served my girlfriend her food she just walked away and never offered us a refill on our coffee and tea.
We did not leave any tip.
She was very rude and it looked like she was treating the other workers the like she was better than them and telling them what to do.
I wouldn't mind going again but I sure would not want that Ashley is my server and I'd recommend the same for everyone if you see her at your table ask for a different server maybe a kind waitress that knows how to do her job.

The food was good I got the smothered burger. If you like spicy green chili you'll love it. We were a large group and they did their best to make sure we had everything we needed.

I'm from Boston, and this place has really grown on me through about 2 dozen visits over the 5 weeks I've spent in Socorro over the past 2 years. It's not the best food or service, but there's just something about this place that I love. I would definitely say their breakfast items (served all day) are the best - in particular the breakfast burrito, the southwest omelette, and the pancakes, which are DELICIOUS and are the best pancakes I've ever had. The portion sizes are extremely generous and I'm always full when I leave. The service is usually pretty good and pretty dang fast as long as it's not too crowded, but there have been a few times when I haven't been impressed. I've had a handful of items I'm not a fan of on the menu but I really can't complain for something this affordable. Do not get their margarita. Also I would highly recommend substituting their beans for hashbrowns or more rice, they just don't taste good. Easily one of the top 3 best places in Socorro.
