Mondo Italiano Taos

Great, authentic New York Italian style restaurant! I had spinach stuffed ravioli, my wife had a penne pasta dish with mushrooms and we shared a salad with walnuts, dried cranberries, mixed greens and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing. The Italian bread was delectable. The dessert was a tough choice with Italian Cream Cake, Carrot Cake, Lemon Cream Cake and several flavors of gelato. We settled on gelato, mocha for the lady and salted caramel for me.

The wait staff was, friendly, courteous and professional. The service was prompt. Well worth the stop for a relaxed, romantic dinner.

Great variety on the menu, located away from the tourist traps. Pizza was good, salad with apple slices was good, can't really go wrong here.

The food was delicious! Except I was a little unhappy with our waitress Evie! She was very hard to understand and I also had to keep calling her over to the table for drink refills or other things. She was not very attentive. She took our order and brought our food but never checked on us in between. I did have to ask another waitress Eunice for assistance and she was great! Very friendly!

So happy to see Mondo doing so well it was relatively busy when we went. But nevertheless we had great service food was good. Gelato a must try. And our salad was so pretty.

Waitress was good. Staff seemed friendly. Food took way longer than it should have. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana Sandwich and mine was pretty much burnt. The chicken was so dry it was hard (worse than crispy chicken), had to ask for extra marinara just to make it bearable. Don't set expectations high for this place, it's merely OKAY.
