Gutters Bowling

Address: 520 Plaza Cañon Dr, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“On December 31st. I brought my family to celebrate my daughter's 7th birthday we spoke with a young man at the front desk we went ahead to go on and Bowl and we enjoyed every minute of it but for some reason they couldn't get the bumpers to work for the first part of our game then we decided to order some food being that the children were hungry. The same young man that took payment from us arriving at gutters took our order. After our order was taken I asked how good their salads are the young man with long blond hair told me that the salads were fairly good not the best salad in the world he said but it is very good he asked if I wanted a fish salad or chicken salad I told him that I would take a chicken Caesar salad. He than told me that he had a awesome chef from a former resteraunt in Taos. After placing my order about 10 minutes later my salad arrived when I first saw my salad I thought it looked gross. I went on to take a bite and taste it before I judged it. I didn't say anything and I passed it to my partner to see if he would like it. He then looked at me with a disturbing face and asked me if I ordered a fish salad he told me that he thought it tasted like fish. I went on to continue tossing my salad around the bowl when I found a "penny" that's right a "penny" After finding the penny I was completely disgusted. I then waited for my pizza when the pizza arrived it looked good I honestly felt better. Then I went on to take the pizza back to the desk and ask them to cut my big slices into half slices. The young man with "long" blond hair went on to grab the pizza slicer he then swung his "long blondish red hair" over my pizza. I then asked him if he could remove his head from my pizza because his hair was going to fall into the pizza or whatever could be in his hair. At that point I was really disgusted again because I had just seen his hair hanging over my pizza. After finding a Penny... "OMG" I then took my pizza back to my table and started to serve my children. After serving my children I looked underneath the pizza and realized it had not even been cooked thoroughly it had only been cooked to melt the cheese and change the color of the crust. The bottom of my pizza was still doughy and very very greasy. I returned all my food and ask for a refund. After asking for a refund the cook came from the back and ask to see the pizza that I was returning he did not see anything wrong with the uncooked greasy Pizza. The cook then looks at me and gave me a foul look. Even giving them the salad back with the penny where I found it.. ... This was no way personal I just wanted my money back. For anyone that is ordering pizza or any food for that matter should make sure that the people dealing and handling their food are clean. This look the cook gave me was uncalled for. After I was refunded my money for my food I looked over at the table next to me and saw the food they ordered the nachos were made with shredded cheese and nacho chips however I noticed that their plate looked awful. The bowling was great we loved it and we would be back again to both for sure. We do enjoy this place for fun and for having a great day with your family..... I actually brought the penny home and made it a souvenir!...”

Song's Restaurant

Address: 703 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“My boyfriend and I tried this place on our vacation in Taos to have something different for dinner. It’s your average Chinese restaurant. It’s more of a take out spot versus dining in. Its very sparse inside like uncomfortable vibe. I did enjoy the handmade steam dumplings though. The food portions are standard sizes to other Chinese restaurants. Service- very friendly, nice, and understanding. For example they were out of something and they provided us something different to make up for it.”

Restaurant

Palettes, Taos Food Art

Address: 1005 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“I stayed at the Don Fernando for three weeks on a fire assignment and ate here most every night. I think I had almost the whole menu! The good: the sopapillas, the smothered steak burrito, the fish and chips, the fried stuffed jalapeños, the salads (huge!), and the nachos. The burger was consistently a little charred (three times) and the prices are a little high, but is overall pretty good for hotel food. The service was always friendly, and the restaurant itself is pleasant to sit in, although it was only ever the bar area that was open, not the full seating area.”

KOKO Coffee/Deli/Carry-Out

Address: 1033 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur # H, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Cafe Bakery Restaurant

“This place is a total gem in Taos! I love swinging by for a morning pastry or burrito (I love the vegetarian). The staff is always delightful and kind. They have a well stocked selection of treats, fresh ready to go lunches and great coffee. It’s in a lot with some other shops so it may be hard to see (across the road from 5 Star Burgers), but totally worth checking out!”

Yu Garden Asian Cuisine

Address: 1033 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“This was an unexpected gem that we stumbled upon. The lovely Taiwanese lady who served us was enough for us to love this place, but the food was truly exceptional and some of the best Chinese food we have had. We started with chicken dumplings (aka potstickers) that were lightly fried to a perfect crispness without any hard edges. The cashew chicken was filled with zucchini, mushrooms and pineapple while being generous with both the chicken and the cashews. 😋 The mushu pork is a highlight, as it was so perfectly made without being soggy or greasy. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hidden gem.”

Hunan

Address: 1023 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM 87571, USA

“I’ve eaten here twice in a week, and both times it was excellent. Orange chicken and fried rice was freshly made and delicious! Fried dumplings were done just right, with an excellent spicy sauce. Teriyaki chicken on a stick was tender and flavorful. It’s take out only right now, but service is fast! I’d recommend it.”

“First time experiencing this top rated TripAdvisor restaurant and it was tasty. Huge portions sizes in my personal opinion. It’s New Mexican cuisine in a family style restaurant vibe. The salmon was good but a huge portion to finish it all. Friends enjoyed their meals too. Service- prompt, friendly and professional. I would go back if I was craving good New Mexican food.”

Sagebrush Inn & Suites

Address: 1508 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“We only stayed one night. Very authentic and historic New Mexico style lodge. There were two of us and we selected a Junior Suite room with a fireplace in one room and bed in another room. The suite was quite spacious with a front room with Murphy bed and table with two chairs, TV, small refrigerator. We had a nice fire in the fireplace with the wood and fire-starter they provided, which made the place cozy. I would have preferred that instead of the Murphy bed in the front room that it had a sofa bed, because then there would have been a comfortable place to sit (instead of just the table with chairs) while watching tv in the evening while relaxing. The bathroom was large and the bed was pretty comfortable although I was cold and there were no extra blankets or pillows. There were only 3 pillows on the queen bed, so my husband took one from the Murphy bed, which was made up in case someone was going to sleep in it. I was tempted to take the blanket from the Murphy bed. Instead, I just put my down jacket over me on top of the one blanket. We went to the bar/restaurant and enjoyed the guitarist and had a nice dinner, although the waiter warned us that they were understaffed and he was the only wait person. My husband went to the bar to get our drinks, which was fine, and the bar tender said he would let the waiter know to put the charge on our bill. When the bill came, my husband had to tell the waiter that they had not put the charge for the drinks on the bill.”

De La Tierra Restaurant

Address: 317 Kit Carson Rd, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“The reviews from last summer were not flattering. We decided to take a chance. The service was top shelf. The food and wine list was divine. This restaurant would fit right in, in Santa Fe. Taos has a culinary gem, I hope they appreciate what they have. Ask to dine next to the fish tank.”

Mante's Chow Cart

Address: 402 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“The breakfast burrito was huge. Should have only eaten half of if. The cookie was fresh baked and delicious 😋”

Aji Restaurant

Address: 309 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“I have been anticipating to come here for a very long time... but it was really a let down. I'm not sure about the locals, but by my experience growing up in a Peruvian household it was not authentic. There weren't many options on the menu, not all of it is necessarily typical Peruvian food. The food was okay. I had the Paella, which was basically spanish rice, mixed with a little bit of calamari, and four oysters. Seems like something I could make at home. The little thing of aji (chopped onion, tomatoes, lemon, etc.) Was not as flavorful, but definitely added to the dish. As far as the presentation, the plate with the cloth and skillet looked nice and neat. The food itself was not presented in an impressive way but it was organized. Got the passion fruit cheesecake, it was good. My mom asked for one too, never ended up getting it. Dad got flan, it was forgotten about and we were not willing to wait for it so he got cheesecake too. Little bit of communication issuses... The restaurant was pretty empty, there was just a couple there. Very clean place, loved the decor, the art works. It was somewhat of an open concept design, since the kitchen was visible from my table. Customer service was fast, and wonderful. The waitress was very nice. Overall, my visit was exceptional. One thing I would like to add for those coming here in the future, is to make a reservation ahead of time, and to confirm it the day of going. Just because the restaurant isn't busy does not change the fact that reservations are needed.”

Ziggy's Frozen Yogurt

Address: 1008 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur Suite A, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“Im sad I didn't get his name, but an employee asked if my service dog wanted some water because she was panting so much. We had just came from a park and so I give him props for being concerned for her. The building isn't cold like you would think which is nice. Because eating something cold and being in a cold room would be freezing! The frozen yogurt is really good and I like all the topping varieties! It's a really nice place and I reccomend it greatly.”

5 Star Burgers

Address: 1032 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“Stopped in on a Wednesday at 6p with a co-worker. Parking is very limited outside. They seat more inside than they have parking spots outside. We were greeted immediately at the door and the only space they had available were seats at the bar as the place was very busy. I ordered the 5 star burger with a ceaser side salad. My co-worker ordered the crispy chicken bowl, which came out as a crispy chicken salad. My side salad was kinda disappointing as were the cold fries. However the burger, cooked to order, on a specialty bun, with fresh crumbled cheese and bacon was excellent. Overall the inside decor is nice, the speed was a little slow, but they were full to capacity so that's understandable. The price was a touch high and the non burger food we ate was average at best. However the place is called 5 star burgers and man are their burgers good. I would definitely eat here again, I just wouldn't order a salad next time.”

Maria's Mexican

Address: 1104 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM 87571, USA

Restaurant

“Amazing food served in a timely manner by awesome, friendly staff. I couldn’t decide between chicken enchiladas or relleno and ordered both. Wow, so tasty, and both were made with quality ingredients and oh so yummy!”
