“Very nice hotel. The style is quaint, the building is old but well kept and beautiful, the rooms are comfortable. Front desk staff were polite and helpful. Internet and cable signals are high quality. Breakfast was definitely awesome, great selection of hot foods, cereals and fruits. Minus one star because: - there was no toilet paper in our room when we arrived, and - I discovered a used spoon behind the fridge. Also there are few wall outlets, so make sure you bring a power strip if you need to charge lots of electronics. If you like unique, historical places this is a lovely place to stay :) ”

“I'm in every day for my XL coffee, (or 3) and my 1.5 hrs of news reading relaxation before work. I never have to tell the staff my order, as they know me by name and my coffee just the same. Erica is a great Mgr and runs a friendly clean tight ship with a great sidekick who keeps the tight ship moving along perfectly when Mgr is not there. “First visit there. We'd been to Martel's in Albany many times but never to the Colonie location. We arrived at 6:00 PM on a summer Friday night and sat on the outdoor covered patio. Beautiful night and pleasant surroundings. The friendly manager greeted us and made us feel at home. Our waitress was also friendly and helpful. Sandwiches and salads were very good! We were meeting a large group for a get-together and to hear "Joe's Boys", a band that I've wanted to hear for a long time. "Joe's Boys" is a very talented group, BUT they are WAY TOO LOUD. We were a group of 12. One guy was smart enough to bring ear plugs. Others, including myself, had our fingers in our ears. It was physically painful! No way to converse. We cut our evening short because I was seriously concerned about permanent hearing loss. We will definitely return to Martel's another time, but not when Joe's Boys are playing unless I knew for sure they were turning it down a few notches! Very disappointed how the evening "played" out!”

“I have been to so many restaurants in the Capital District and the meal we had at Field Notes was one of not the best meals I have had. The setting is very intimate and the pairings were phenomenal. When you show up you are in store for a custom prepared meal that is not mass produced but reminiscent of a home cooked meal. Because the setting is so intimate, you find yourself sharing conversation with other guests which is refreshing and was entertaining. Would highly recommend the experience.”

“We ordered last weekend and it was great, 5 stars. We ordered tonight and it wasn't as hot; problems were too salty, not enough sauce, crust not as crunchy, and my mother's instructions were not followed for her half of the pizza. I also noted the pizzeria is in need of a clean-dirty counter and dusty ceiling, I could overlook this if the consistency was better. Staff was polite no issues there. “Great italian food! Coming from an Italian family, we are picky about Italian restaurants. I love the calamari! It's a good appetizer to share. Really enjoyed the pizza. The crust was perfect and I like when I am able to have ricotta cheese put on it. My family definitely loves this place. Prices are decent. The only down side is parking. Finding a spot at times is diffucult as the restaurant is in Peter Harris Plaza and is right near a very popular Mexican restaurant.”

“Really great food and service! I would not recommend going on a "typical" busy restaurant night (Friday night, Saturday night) if you want to be able to have conversation with your dinner party. It is incredibly loud when it's busy. The staff are incredible and the food was delicious. The salsa is a thin style, but full of flavor. Will definitely be back again!”

“Probably one of the best salads I've had. The Pacific Wind had tasty char grilled jumbo shrimp and a refreshing mango salsa over top + sunflower seeds. I chose the cucumber avocado dressing, which paired perfectly with everything. Mango salsa: large bites of ripe mango, bell peppers, fresh herbs and red onion. My cousin enjoyed her salmon with orzo but mentioned that the salmon definitely could've used more flavor... perhaps garlic. She said the vegetables were fresh and that the orzo was cooked well. Our appetizers were great, although I didn't expect the wings to be fried. Maybe I missed that in the description though. They were crispy, not battered (a good thing IMO), and the garlicky parmesan was just right. It went well with the celery and blue cheese dip. My cousin was really satisfied with her jumbo coconut shrimp. Nice waitress and good service considering the large Friday night crowd. However, we did feel that service would be more efficient with one additional server in our section of the restaurant. Overall; 4 well-deserved stars. Will return.”

“Stopped at 8 in the morning on the way back from Albany airport. Went in to use the bathroom which was pretty good size and very clean. Went back out went to the drive-thru and there were two of us. I got a large coffee and breakfast sandwich and she got iced coffee and breakfast sandwich .where do we have about 3 minutes but it was worth it the coffee was made exactly how I asked to work and the sandwiches had just been made. Altogether very positive experience.”

“This Stewarts always feels like it is hopping! It is right on a main route but its super easy in and out with traffic lights not far away to make it easy to get back onto the main roads. “WOW! Innovo truly blew me away. Honestly for the price and the high quality of the meal you're getting, the prices are a steal. Realistically you are getting two meals out of almost anything you order off the menu. I went to Sunday brunch and was blown away by the creativity of the dishes offered. We're talking Michelin-level dishes in our little Capital region. I had the savory waffles, which was chicken and waffles made with a savory based waffle with cheddar and bacon in the savory, herb filled batter. I truly only wish it was served either with more white onion gravy or some maple syrup. My sister and aunt each had the captain crunch french toast and there were three huge slices, each a meal in their own. 3 meals for $18!! It was DELICIOUS and very rich so beware! I can't imagine eating this as leftovers 3 days in a row. Maybe freeze 1 or 2 slices and defrost over a month or so.”

“Best Indian food in the capital district! For the many times I have dined here, I tried out a variety of dishes. I think it is quite fair to draw the conclusion, in terms of the consistency and the taste. Karavali is also very authentic, according to my Indian friends. One thing about Indian food is that it consists of many spices in each dish, though it shouldn't overwhelm you with the spices. You will still taste the spices, but ultimately the spices are in a the right balance and combination to enhance the favor of the meats. They really try to put emphasis on making the harmonizations between the meat and the sauce as one entity.”

“This is the best Sub I have ever had to address formally as MR.. Don't get me wrong I have had WAY BETTER SUBS BEFORE, but always in a casual manner like "sup sub, let's dip you in beef stock and slid you in my throat hole". The price paid versus how little wine you get is bad. The prices are normal to high depending on what your drinking. The layout is definitely different then your average place. Could stand to be a tad bigger to create that roominess. Otherwise a great place.”
