    I have ordered food to go a few times, always delicious. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. Happy we have a great place like this to eat in Elmira - authentic and not a chain

    Good food. Friendly staff. Make sure you make a reservation before you go you might not get a seat. The place has limited seating. Cheers

    My husband and I spent the afternoon in Corning and stopped at 1157 for dinner on the drive home
    This is a perfect, casual, family owned restaurant with an easy vibe and lovely staff
    Our dinner was great and we enjoyed chatting with the owners and server.
    Choose this as your place for a calm, easy, relaxing, well run restaurant, with familiar well cooked fare.
    Thanks for a perfect end to our fun day

    This place was fantastic! We were passing through on our drive and needed a place for dinner. The entire staff was incredibly accommodating and our experience was great. The food was outstanding and we cannot say enough great things about this spot. We will definitely be back if we pass through the area- What a gem!

    Wow! Wish we lived closer! It would be my “go to” place. What a great place. There is absolutely nothing you can say bad about this restaurant. Pleasant owners and staff, wonderful delicious food, accommodating to the customer. They will alter food if you food sensitivities, just ask. This place is so friendly you would think you were home!! Enjoy!!
