“Don't let the name of the place mislead you, this is Elmira's only local Indian place! You can get halal chicken/lamb over rice at a few places around here, but no where has authentic Indian food, street foods, and curries. Samosas were pretty good, Garlic naan was excellent, and the chicken curry tasted great, very good balance of spice, and the chicken was incredibly tender and delicious! Will definitely be trying many more dishes here -- the chicken in my curry was so fantastic I may even forgo the indulgence in Indian Cuisine one evening and try their fried chicken!!”

“The fish fry was delicious but oh my the service was just awful. No one came to our table for 15 mins then he never asked us if we wanted something to drink. Took our order and I asked for a glass of wine. He never brought it til we were well into eating our dinner. Asked for water never got it til we were done eating. Another waitress had a tray of soup and gave a bowl to another table then was standing around with ours until we finally asked if it might be ours she put two bowls down but my husband didnt get his. Finally got his awhile later. It went on and on. It was almost like a sitcom. Too bad because the fish is amazing. Don't think I could go back though.”

“We went for the first 2020 Alive After 5. It was my first time there and it is HUGE, with original marble floors and dark wood features. Positively beautiful. The band Top Shelf played and the acoustics along with the band were awesome. The main room where the band played was perfect for a large gathering, but there were also a number of smaller rooms if you wanted a more intimate space. Than there were the variety of beers and ales which was quite impressive as was the large variety of wines from other states and countries. So if you enjoy beers, wines and vintage architecture you're gonna love this place!”

Shrimp was cooked perfectly and the grits were the best I've had. Coming through Elmira and found this place on a wimb, driving back to Buffalo. Will take the trip again just for the food!”

“The restaurant is very nice and has a classy feel. Music was too loud and made folks talk loud which made it very hard to have a conversation. It took an hour and a half for a beef sandwich and a salmon dish. Beef sandwich contained so much fat my friend could hardly eat it. The menu says Salmon is served with a vegetable and mashed potatoes for $22. I requested salad instead of mashed potatoes. The salad was served on the hot plate with the salmon drenched in vinaigrette dressing which made it very soggy. The hot green beans were served on the side on a separate plate. The salmon, however, was good. I was not impressed with the food especially for the price. This place has potential, but food quality and presentation needs improvement for the price.”

“The resturant is clean and well maintained. If ita been busy the tables are sometimes dirty. No big deal though. They always have a variety of slices available which is a nice change from other places. Well pizza is pizza. Nothing super special about this place. I enjoy their BBQ Chicken pizza. My biggest issue is the wait time for an employee to serve customers. Often there will be 3 or more employees working (depending on the time and day). However, it will take almost 10 minutes some days for them to even acknowledge a customer.”

“There was a steady stream of customers coming and going when we arrived. The was a bit of a wait to order and get our food, but once we're tasted it, we understood why it was so busy. The food was delicious and the staff, although very busy, were professional and courteous. We highly enjoyed our experience and we plan to return the next time we are in the area.”
