Service was great! Dan did a great job. Attentive but not too much. I had french onion soup, salad bar and one of the specials..garlic sword fish. Onion soup broth could be dialed back a little. Still good but on the edge of being salty. Grilled sword fish had good flavor and was well cooked by was a little on the mushy si de. To me, still worth a try. Nice salad bar will all the goodies. Very good bread at the salad bar. Worth a stop if you are in the area. I was there around 4:30 Friday evening, the place got busy quick!
Delicious food , environment is nice service was prompt and pleasant. Will definitely add this to my list of places to return back to. It lived up to the hype of what I had been told by my peers.
I have experienced lunch here first. Then, had to come have dinner. Both experiences were AWESOME!! This place has SO MUCH variety and adds the salad/soup in to make it just right. Steaks, seafood, bar food - you name it. I highly recommend!!
Finding an old friend!!
As a kid my uncle brought us to Butcher Block and we would go often it was a family favorite but over the years we weren’t able to come back for a long time but my wife and I re-discovered the Butcher Block and we were so very pleased with the extraordinary salad bar and delicious meals, I had the ‘fall off the bone’ ribs and my wife had the succulent salmon. The soups with the salad bar was so very comforting, it really brought me back to our wonderful times as a kid with my family!!
I thought the Butcher Block would be your typical steak house, but it has an imaginative menu. I ordered the pork skewer with spinach, feta, and grilled peaches. The portion of pork was generous and cooked properly so it was tender. The marinade was so good. The grilled peaches were a great complement to the pork. The meal includes two side dishes as well as a salad bar with soup. So come hungry because the desserts are huge and yummy. We shared the toll house bar with two scoops of ice cream. It was a great meal for the price. The service was excellent. The kitchen was behind that night and they did make a small error with the grilled peaches (The peach was not ripe enough), I asked the server about it and she talked to the kitchen. The do-over was just right, sweet and tender and juicy.
We were just passing through the town and lucked out on finding this restaurant.
