Friendly's

Only three stars since it only opens at 8am. We have always stopped for breakfast Labor Day weekend on the Friday travelling South and for the first time we were greeted with a sign that said opens at 8am as well as a lady that had just arrived to work around 7:30. She wasn't that "friendly". Too bad, other than that the meals we enjoyed every year were tasty and inexpensive.

As usual the food was very good. The service was really bad. Our waitress was flustered throughout. Took three trips to the table to get place settings and napkins. Brought the wrong food for one of the kids and he had to wait longer for his meal while everyone else had their food. The restaurant was in need of paint and upkeep.

We had a group of ten and showed up bright and early at 7 am when they open. The food was great and Chelsea our server did an excellent job taking care of us! The breakfast menu is much smaller than I remembered (it's been a few years since I've come for breakfast) but they still have all the classics to choose from. My rancheros omelette was very good, I got it with the grilled potatoes and a hot cup of coffee, yum!

My blind sister and I eat lunch about once a month. We return there because it is very important to me that we go to a restaurant that makes her comfortable and happy. A bonus is good food in a timely manner, hearing children chatting nearby and the excellent service from the personnel.
