We celebrated my mothers birthday at the Columbia Grill this week. It was my first visit to the venue, tucked inside the attractive Columbia Golf & Country Club and it made a lovely impression. Due to a thunderstorm, we sat inside the clubhouse but with a wall of windows you could still enjoy the lush, well-manicured golf course.
The menu is straightforward and uncomplicated, offering three or four appetizers, three or four entrées, and a blackboard with specials of the day. The flipside of the menu had a delectable, yet modest, selection of wines; two sparkling roses caught my attention instantly. The three of us were well satisfied sharing one bottle of a light pink Cava.
Owner, Christopher Knable, stopped by our table, welcomed us, and offered heartfelt birthday wishes.
Service was subtle, attentive, and in all ways C-19 compliant. The menu items change often, which further encourages me to return to see what surprises await.
I would highly recommend making a reservation and enjoying this gem. If you time it right and the clouds cooperate, you can dine outdoors on their sweeping verandas and see a beautiful sunset during your visit.
