Firecrest Restaurant

A newly renovated restaurant/bar in downtown Cortland, NY opened this week, called FireCrest Restaurant at 13 Groton Avenue. Featuring booths and tables along with a bar, the obvious nod is to it's large stone fireplace in the main dining area which is great for small and large gatherings.. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful and the food looks amazing as well.

Amazing! Such strong flavors for every dish. The experience was excellent, drinks were strong and the food was full of taste. The bruschetta was the most amazing thing I have ever had. My boyfriend and I ordered three dinners to make sure we tried a group of things. We had Goat Cheese Gnocchi & Bacon, Scrimp Scampi, and Chilli & Sausage. The Gnocchi was a bit sweeter than expected but good, the Scrimp Scampi was bursting with flavor, and the Chili was also delicious, the bread was a bit more burnt than I wanted but still extremely tasty. We ordered two soups and a side salad. The dressing was balsamic which I suggest. The soup of the day, which changes every day or so due to demand, was cheeseburger, which definitely hit THE spot, freaking yum. And the dessert, we had tiramisu cheesecake, and apple compote. Both were so good! I suggest the Apple Compote to anyone who likes Apple and the Tiramisu if you like coffee tasting things with rich flavor. The drinks we had were Cranberry Mule, Smoked S'mores Cocktail, and Pineapple Sunrise. Pineapple Sunrise was my favorite, I suggest all of them! I will be back to try more of the menu.
