This tiny place redefines farm to fork. They serve what they have - we had the best ramen noodles and broth, tofu, clams and greens - and their out of this world kimchi. So it is not necessarily your night out go to place or your kids’ new favorite spot (TBH 1 of our 4 kids actually will be probably very willing to drive the two hours to get here on a daily basis), but it’s unique, super fresh, and very tasty. Arthur is a wonderful chef (I do wish he would hold dinner parties in NYC! Please??)
Note it’s only open Saturday and Sunday.
Friendly spot with delicious food! The pictures should say it all. Accommodating to gluten-free and vegetarian/vegan diets. I love the self-serve barley tea and coffee at the counter. Visit the adjacent gallery while your dish is made fresh.
Seasonal healthy Asian food - in the Catskills! Everything is delicious and straight from the organic farm. Some pro-tips:
- add a pickled egg on top of the beef curry
- save a little miso soup and pour on top of your rice bowl for even more of an umami bump
- grab a banchan for the road
- take a jar of kimchee home and have with your eggs in the morning everyday
- winter ramen bowls are on point!
It is Roxbury’s place to go and eat wonderful farm-fresh food, with an Asian theme. It is an excellent counter balance to the greasy spoons all over the area.
It is not your standard fare, but you will not be disappointed!
Just wonderful. Go for breakfast or lunch, you’ll get inspired, fresh, flavorful, balanced, healthy food cooked and served with thought and care. Such a delight to have something like this in Roxbury. Out of left field but an instant classic.
