Shelly's Deli (Poughkeepsie)

Breakfast wraps and sandwiches are terrific here. We order BECs with a hash brown in a sundried tomato wrap and they are delicious. They are finished in a panini press to crisp it just a bit. I know they have Taylor Ham for the Marist crowd as well. Their chicken cutlet is great. I have had it in variations of their wraps and sandwiches. Their foot long sandwich (order up to 6 foot) are great too. Ricky, Shelly and their staff are wonderful to be around, and they make great hot food as well. Cindy at the counter or on the phone most times is super nice as well. We love Shellys Deli.

My burger was a little on the rare side when I ordered it medium. Over all my experience was good. The food was good and filling. Was shocked to actually get a burger and not one of those lifeless burger patties that are disgusting. The fries were crinkle cut and a huge serving. There was areas in the store that I could see needed to be swept. The staff were friendly and attentive. Service was prompt. Seating area was a bit cramped.

The best roast beef I've ever had, hands down! Their bread is delicious with the perfect texture. Portions are hefty, service is quick, accurate and friendly. They have sides available, as well as a huge variety of chips and drinks. Even have brownies and cookies for dessert!

Great food, always fresh and absolutely delicious! Always pick up breakfast sandwiches here on my way home after a long 12 hr night shift and don’t mind waiting ( its usually busy in the morning) simply because it’s worth it! And love the international wafer bars, haven’t seen those in any local deli! Great courteous and happy staff. Definitely a 5 star business!
