Bagel Jay's Bakery & Cafe

Bagel Jay's is one of the best bagel shops in the Buffalo area. They're not quite on the level of authentic downstate bagels, but they're still a treat, particularly when we're so strapped for good options. There are some speed issues during the lunch rush on weekdays. It's not uncommon to wait for ~1 hour for food around that time. It's unfortunate, but it does speak to the quality of Bagel Jay's as a lunch option. A wishlist item, which I imagine is way out of scope for this establishment, is for the team to utilize a griddle to actually cook breakfast sandwiches (eggs, bacon, etc.). It would go a long way to improve their quality and freshness. Even if it cost extra, I'd be happy to pay it.

. . While sometimes you have to wait. Only during customer build up. They are very efficient and very polite and listen to what you want. Should they forget something they will correct it immediately. I go there about 3-4 times a week and absolutely love it.

Haven't had anything from here I didn't like. Their Lox bagels are one of my goto favorites!
So many cream cheese options too.

These reviews but we were hungry and nearby so we did… staff was soooo nice, patient and helpful and I thought our bagels were really good. Happy to come back
