Tried for the first time but we were there on a night that Shea's was had something going on. All of the parking was super expensive because of that so it took a while to find a spot to park and then we had to walk to the restaurant. We had made reservations weeks ago but we're faced with a packed restaurant and it was very understaffed. The service was not great and although we were not in a hurry we saw several tables leave without their food because they had to get to the theater. They gave us confusing menus that didn't agree and simple things like water, silverware, salt and pepper etc were asked for several times and took forever to get. The fried green tomatoes were awesome but the entrees were a bit of a disappointment. I went with a small group of friends so we totally enjoyed being out on the patio and relaxing while we waited for the food. They do have appetizer specials and drink specials 5:00 to 7:00 everyday. The dessert was delicious. We decided we'll give it another try on a night when it's not so crowded and try more of their specialty foods to see if the quality is any better. We ordered Po boys, tacos and chicken sandwiches. They all came with fries which were overly seasoned. My sandwich was very skimpy with the catfish. The ambiance was very nice and the staff that were working were pleasant but not really hustling. So my recommendation would be make a reservation and make sure it's not a night the theater is up and running. If you can sit up on the balcony you get a beautiful view of all the new buildings and things going on downtown!

What a great time! Jambalaya was superb. Drinks were amazing. Just enjoyable. Not a 7 course Italian experience, but an experience where my group and I had a great time and joked with the staff, had some great drinks, and even better food that some of us had to take home due to how great the night was. Personally, i felt like I was eating some New Orleans grandma's homemade cooking.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy. Loved the music until it was changed to rap. Not sure how that fits with the style of restaurant. We had a reservation for 5, but sat at a table for 4. 🤷‍♀️ Our waiter was attentive but felt bad for him going up and down those stairs. Would I try it again? Sure! I realize this place is still new so hopefully some of the wrinkles get worked out.

Going to be an absolutely AMAZING date spot.

The ambiance is that Buffalo polished wood low-light vibe. This is accentuated by large portioned New Orleans cuisine that is a refreshing break from the Greek and Italian domination in this city.

    Bring an appetite.
