Nice lodge and friendly staff. Could do better in maintaining the tracks. Also would be nice if the trails are one way, so it’s safer and easier especially for beginners.
Quick service at walk up window. We received trail voucher included in our stay at High Peaks Resort. Trails were well maintained. One of my daughters described trail through a treed area as Narnia ;) We were given a map and some guidance as to snowshoe vs xc ski trails. Thoroughly enjoyed our outing! To keep with social distancing we did not enter shop nor restaurant.
First time cross country skiing, took a lesson with Terry and had the best experience. First off, Terry is an awesome instructor. Patient , thorough, fun and without putting too much pressure. Learned within the hour lesson then was off to the trails.
As for cascade, the rental equipment seems of good quality, trails are fun, and the staff really friendly and helpful.
Came back for a second day and had just as much fun!
Convenient and reasonably priced. Beginner friendly terrain ; nothing very challenging. Bar with food on site was nice and a rental and repair shop as well as a small retail shop.
Awesome place to spend the day cross country skiing. Prices are very reasonable for a trail pass.
They have a lodge where they serve food and drinks. The menu features burgers and even food for vegetarians/vegans. The vegan chili is delicious.
You can rent equipment and purchase your own new/used merchandise as well.
Please call ahead of skiing though. Their hours note that they are open and often times the trails are not...just the sales and rental store is.
