Oh my goodness! This was an amazing place to stop after snowshoeing at one of the many places in the North Country!
I asked the wait staff for a recommendation and after she asked me a few questions, she concluded to recommend the Pork Wings. An amazing choice that I did not regret! Larger than life pork chops on a bone with amazing seasonings. Super tasty. This paired wonderfully with the Garland City Golsh, a brew made right there. Two other wonderful items were the giant pretzel and the loaded potato soup. The portions were perfect and I was pleasantly full but not stuffed after this reward for snowshoeing!
The ambience of the Garland City Beerworks is truly remarkable. You have a high ceiling-ed taproom/dining area where on a Saturday afternoon where young families, older friends and groups of all ages enjoyed a break from the frigid outdoors. The taproom is juxta-positioned next to the brewing area where very modern equipment is at work creating the next new creations. We were given a quick tour and it was very enlightening to learn about the brewing process.
Garland City Beerworks is a place I will return to on the way to and from ADK and Lake Placid. It is also a great place to stop when going XC skiing, snowshoeing or sledding. Living in Liverpool, NY, I just wish it was closer!
Great food, great beer, friendly service. Used Untapped to find a local brewery that serves food. We were hesitant about the menu options but this turned out perfect. I had the portobello sandwich and it was awesome. Unfortunately the fries were inconsistent which is the only reason they lost a star. Some were hot and yummy and some were cold and hard. That would be my only complaint. My partner had the Garland City Melt and the burger was cooked perfectly. We only tried the in-house beers. We frequent breweries and try a lot of different styles and breweries. While we didn't love some, many were awesome and all we could appreciate what they were going for with all of them (we sampled 8 of them).
Good beer, decent food though very overpriced. The live music was way too loud resulting in my table having to yell to have a conversation. Wasn’t a fan of that.
If they would fix the issue with the music I would easily give four or five stars.
What a terrific lunch we had today. A beautiful space with friendly service. The IPA was said to be very tasty and so was my stout. Steak salad was fresh and nicely dressed. Am definitely coming back!
If you serve me food, you should provide a napkin. Its the simple things. Hummus pita chips are extraordinary!
