    I go there quite often. It's relaxing and it doesn't hurt your pocket. Momma and poppa.

    Cash only. Great little soul food place. Everything is priced exactly as it should be and tastes exactly is it should.

    The Mac and cheese and yams are absolutely amazing.

    Absolutely Amazing!!!! This is the Soul Food place I've been searching for!!!!!! It taste just like a southern grandparents home!!!! Everything tastes perfect!!!! Customer service is excellent and really homely. You'll feel like grandpa and grandma called you to get the first plate and they are heavy on the southern "twang". I Love It ???? The food is fresh so you might want to call ahead to shorten your wait, but the atmosphere is nice and cozy so it's a cool place to chat while waiting. By far, there is no better soul food restaurant in Brooklyn (I am a foodie, so I have been to many eateries). I wish they were open everyday!!!!! Catch the lunch specials before 4 for really great deal!!!! If they are pushing you to order around 3:45pm it's only so that you can get a huge discount; isn't that sweet!

    Mitchell's soul food is fantastic. Always finger lickin' good!! I had the barbecue chicken for the first time...that sauce was yummy!! The staff is wonderful....not to mention the owner comes around to ask if all is well. The prices are really great too. I highly recommend it.

    I love this place. when you walk in it feels like you at your auntie and uncle house about to eat real good. The woman in the back look like they cooking the food with love and the decor looks like somebody house. The food taste like your mama cooking. Good old southern food and they not stingy with the portions. love !!!
