Really nice looking place, great service and ambiance. However we found the food lacking. The chicken liver mousse was very flat and missed it's characteristic richness. The accompanying chicken skin and muffins were overfryed and overcooked. The pastas were good as was the caesar salad. I wouldn't rush back here given my favorite restaurant, Olmsted, is across the street.
We’ve been fans of Faun since it opened - it’s a lovely local place. I have to say we were blown away by our dinner there last week. Cocktails were delicious (I had the lucky penny) and then we shared the chicken liver mousse, the mezze maniche nero and the poached hake. All delicious. The hake in particular was amazing (how often do you hear that about hake!) - so beautifully cooked and the beans and kale were perfect with it. The service was perfect. It’s feels like a hidden gem in there. We’re hoping it’s the neighborhoods worst kept secret. An absolute treat.
The food was great and the service even better. Interesting and good cocktails. Everything we ordered was tasty. We had the octopus, chicken liver, pork chops, rib and a buckwheat pasta with mushroom. They were very accomodating for the 2 toddlers we had with us. I will definitely be back and high recommend this place .
I really loved everything about this restaurant - starting with the peaceful backyard setting and ending with delicious unique cuisine. Although the menu does not have a lot of options, almost anything you get from the menu is guaranteed to leave your mouth watering for more. The service is impeccable, and the waitresses are happy to help you with the menu choices. Although it says here it’s an Italian restaurant, it’s not a typical one. You have to come and see it for yourself.
Came here a couple of weeks ago and was very happy with this place. We ordered a lot of different dishes they were all very well prepared and flavorful. Somehow squeezed in dessert in the end. We were stuffed but happy. Service was great, the waitress really helped us out with her recommendations.
