I used to always come here for the breakfast deals until it just got too crowded and wasn't worth my time waiting. Recently, I had this sick craving for a Hong Kong style breakfast. I was pretty disappointed that the food quality has gotten down.
I've visited this place for a long while, and it's just been going steady. The food is getting pricier than other surrounding Chinese/Hong Kong style cafes, and it's not a good thing. The wait is sometimes generous, and can be terrible (up to 20-30 mins+ for a single order). The basis here is that you order, you find a table and you wait for your food. Sometimes, that entire process can take up to an hour, which by then, I'm hungry and tired (not a good combo). I would say order ahead, but they often also don't process it and it takes the same amount of time in the end anyway. I only now come here on occasions where I really don't know what to eat; I've realized that there are cheaper places nearby, and they don't charge me extra for adding VERY minor things to an order.
The restaurant runs a family style cooking. The place is clean. The waiting time is reasonable. The food portion is generous with that price. Periodically, the owner adds new dishes to please his customers. The tip is not necessary for the service. The place carries an array of food varieties with Cantonese, Vietnamese and Hongkonger styles. An ideal eatery for breakfast, lunch and dinner. A winner restaurant in Brooklyn, New York.
