I met my crew here for our bimonthly round table discussions. We'd looked at several places and eventually settled on this one because it was near some of the other activities we were considering that day. It seems the stars aligned for us.
Before you even enter the restaurant, feast your eyes on the massive, imposing super structure of the Manhattan Bridge. (Do it for the snap maybe?). The main floor is pretty wide and has a cutaway view to the kitchen. It's also got this awesome looking greenery along one wall and some elevated table seating.
We arrived on time and were seated on the upper level overlooking the main floor and its beautiful vertical garden. Just behind our table was a wall full of cases of wine bottles which perfectly complemented the wood aesthetic elements. We didn't sample the lunch fare but instead went with brunch. I had the steak with scrambled eggs (I can't do eggs Benedict or sunny side up. Don't ask me why). Everything was awesome!
Definitely put this place on your list if you'll be in the Dumbo/Brooklyn/Manhattan Bridge area. Just know that it's a little bit of a walk from the A,F,2 or 3 trains
I have been here a few times and the drinks are very good and pretty much all the food is great. The beef tartare and steak were delicious but the time I had the chicken for 2 I thought it was a little dry
My first time coming it was very packed. A lot of people were at the restaurant, but luckily one of my friends made a reservation so we got a table. I ordered the Smoke Duck. It was so soft and full flavor. It was just delicious, but the pricing was pretty expensive. I wish they would at least have some sides with it instead of just duck, but overall it was yummy!
The restaurant is well-decorated and situated in a good location near the waterfront. My dining partner and I chose the “tasting menu” because the dishes looked interesting. In fact, each course of the tasting menu was tiny and not worth the money we paid (although the food was good). I might go back again and avoid the tasting menu at all costs.
I was so happy to have stumbled upon Atrium while in the Dumbo area of Brooklyn! Fantastic location and the restaurant had the perfect ambiance to match. I ordered two non alcoholic drinks ( hibiscus iced tea, and rosemary lemonade pictured) Bibb lettuce, and mussels. The herb dressing on the salad was delicious. I was also impressed by how many mussels came with the order as well! It filled me right up. My friend and I also ordered a cheese plate to share which we enjoyed. The wait time for our food did seem a bit long. We did go during prime dinner time (8pm) so keep that in mind as this is a very popular restaurant. Overall I enjoyed my meal here and would certainly come back again.
