Wonderful food, great service, and wonderful staff. A real gem. The avacado toast was amazing. The cheese plate is incredible. Can't wait to go back.
If you haven't made it to Buttermilk Channel for brunch or dinner, then you're missing out on some of the most delicious food in Carroll Gardens. I ordered the Eggs Huntington, and tried the Bourbon Pecan French Toast, Short Rib Hash. All were fantastic meals! You must come here to try their biscuits! They are the real deal!
One of the best brunches I've had in NYC (And I have had A LOT of brunches). I got the short rib hash for the main (served with sunny side up egg and salad), the original Bloody Mary, and grapefruit wheels with endive for a starter. My friend got the fried pork chop with cheddar waffle and was also very impressed. Everything was super flavorful and cooked to perfection. A gem in the heart of Gowanus.
The wait was a bit long since it was during rush traffic hour, but was compensated with a very delicious cinnamon roll for the wait. The service was very nice and the restaurant had plenty of sunlight through large windows. Received our brunch orders very quickly and the portion quantity was acceptable and surprisingly filling! Would definitely visit again.
Always a pleasure to eat here! Staff are the nicest, the noise level is good for conversations, and the food is a good balance of being exquisite AND down to earth. A place worth your $$$ and wait :) Talking about the wait, the brunch is always too popular, but you have a good chance of getting seats for two before 12 if you're lucky. For larger parties, just get in the line and take a walk around the neighborhood for some coffee. Dinner is rarely much wait though!
