Five stars because it’s hard to find truly authentic regional Chinese cuisine in this part of brooklyn. Order: soup dumplings, double cooked pork and salt and pepper shrimp. No, soup dumplings aren’t Szechuan, but these were reasonably well executed. The order was delivered quickly via car (the restaurant does its own seamless deliveries and that seems to be a really good thing) and these didn’t suffer from the delay that many soup dumplings will. To be fair, the dough wasn’t the impossibly thin variety of an iconic xiao long bao, but the slightly thicker dumpling may be the reason why it traveled reasonably well. Double cooked pork was classically prepared (thankfully no fake corn and dried shitake mushrooms in this version) with sliced pork belly, leeks and the appropriate Szechuan seasonings and sauce. The pork had a nice smoky flavor - nicely done. I wasn’t as much a fan of the salt and pepper shrimp - it seemed like they got confused and made it more like a doughy tempura than the classic preparation. But still a fair amount of large shrimp (10 in my box) and we’ll-prepared if not truly authentic. The menu does give away the fact that they are trying to satisfy two audiences, authentic Szechuan aficionados as well as Chinese American tastes. In this part of brooklyn, you can do a lot worse.

My go-to local Szechuan place. Good food and great vegetarian options.

Fantastic Americanized and authentic dishes served by a hard working team.

The Americanized menu is consistently solid, but check the house specialties for the real fireworks. If you're a glutton for spice or have a milder palate, let them know and they'll take good care of you.

Mapo Tofu, roast pork buns, wontons in chilli sauce all stand out, but the kitchen definitely rewards trying some of the less common items.

Full-on neighborhood essential. Call in pick up for great, fast service that supports ls the business.

I’ve been eating Szechuan around the city for decades, and this place is up there. Only got delivery. Never been inside.

the vegan options are so delicious and i would often get this delivered during the pandemic. i would recommend a 7 on the spice scale. ive only gotten the vegan general tso entree and the dry pot style chicken, the latter being pretty spicy lol.

would highly recommend getting food from here and im surprised this place doesnt have more reviews
