Went here with a friend and the service was impeccable! We felt very well taken care of. The food was also very yummy and filling. My friend and I split a couple dishes and they were thoughtful enough to divide the portions for us. We'll definitely be back!
If you are looking to escape Park Slope for a night and find yourself in France, then look no further. Attentive service, beautiful wine and a pleasant and romantic atmosphere, Cafe Le Mistral hits all the spots. The pate is flavorful and rich and the duck breast is tender and juicy. Instead of the strip steak they had a ribeye which was spicy and robust, exactly how it should be. Definitively recommend to anyone looking for a romantic dinner or an escape from the cold. Looking forward to going back!
Check out this brunch spot before it becomes one of those places where getting a table is nearly impossible. The salmon tartar, which they call their "house speciality," is outstanding. The fluffy pieces of paradise that come with the eggs are the brioche. Excellent customer service.
We were out in park slope and wanted French food so I booked a table at this place which we hadn’t been to before. We got a great table outside (weather was great for early October) and were near the live music which was an excellent French singer. As we sat down my wife said we could have been in Paris, it really has that feel. It only got better from there. The wine list is excellent and the food was unbelievable. We had escargot (one of the reasons we wanted French that day) and it was one of the best we’ve had and done slightly differently. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and did everything with high chairs, clearing etc, very good. I see some comments below about the manager and I think these people completely misunderstand the culture, this guy is passionate about his restaurant and you can see that. He’s watching all his staff and making sure people are served, wine is poured and everyone is enjoying their food. He even brought coloring books and crayons for our little one. This place is excellent. Would get 10 stars if I could.
My wife and I came here last Friday for an early meal with our two year old son on a rainy early evening around 5:30. The owner and staff warmly greeted us and we were quickly seated. As we looked at the menu the evening musicians arrived and started to play their set. The atmosphere is really spot on what it is trying to achieve. The owner and staff really want you to have a nice time. We enjoyed a excellent bottle of Rose that arrived with chilled wine glasses. We also shared oysters that were not only huge but tasty - a real value. The escargot was also well seasoned and came with some delicious crusty bread. We got our son the roasted chicken which was one of the best chicken dishes we have ordered. He absolutely loved it. This place is a gem. We will be back.
