BKT is a great local spot operated by a super friendly couple who clearly care about the neighborhood.

They sell simple, tasty, fresh food at very affordable prices. The best things I’ve had are the pacific club sandwich and the jerk chicken (a recurring special). They sometimes have a homemade watermelon/cucumber/mint juice that is unbelievably refreshing. It’s also hard to beat the $1 cold brew.

PRAISE BE! Wow, what a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! I've kept my eye on this spot for a while and finally had the pleasure of visiting on a Friday where I had the MOST DELICIOUS fish quesadilla - my son and I fought over the last piece - freshly made, seasoned impeccably, gracious service. I'm proud to patronize a Black Owned Business in the 'hood serving quality and hospitality to all. Can't wait to go back and try the chicken & waffles, juices, and basically everything on their menu. The owners of this hot new spot is on to something! The chicken and waffles are finger licking good! The flavors compliment each other so well. The chicken is seasoned to perfection and the waffles are light, fluffy and perfectly made to melt in your mouth. Even the little bits of strawberries were the right compliment to the meal. Very filling, reasonably priced and warm & courteous service from the moment I walked in. And did I say it was made fresh while I waited??? Definitely going to be visiting again real soon to try some of their other meal options and the fruit infused juices, which seems to be a big hit. Don't hesitate to stop in and check out their menu and grab something to drink or eat... or both!
