This place is amazing! I mean, amazing. Most underrated in the area. Sure, is highly rated on Google Maps, but passing by it, it looks dead and mostly empty restaurant next to an overhead highway. Don't let that discourage you. Definitely worth a try. Nothing fancy, but everything is GREAT.
As of this writing they don't have an alcohol license, but they are BYOB and wine shop is just around the corner. So grab a bottle.
So glad I stopped by here. A neighborhood favorite now.
Dumplings were great. Fried rice. Skirt steak. Octopus. It's just ALL good.
Consistency in flavor balance, texture, and presentation at the highest level, of traditional dishes at this eatery may force you to add a new addition to the “guarantee winner for dinner” category in your restaurant Rolodex. The duck has elements of crisp, tender, juicy, bone in, dry, fatty.
A sneak peak into the kitchen with the proprietor, reveals, literally, cleanliness that extends the floor five second rule. Inspectors, try your best. Foodies, enjoy.
Just delicious. The Peking Duck was great. Perfect crisped skin. Cooked well. Seasoned perfectly. We also had the Black Bass, steamed .... also great. Garlic chicken also great. Can’t go wrong with most options. The only thing that was a bit off was the egg drop soup, which was on the salty side. But, for Cantonese food in Williamsburg Chive deserves five stars.
We found the place purely by accident and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. Everything was on point! Delicious food! Professional service! Great atmosphere! Definitely making a return visit.
Went by today for dinner and am so excited to have them here! We ordered the octopus, the wings, lobster roll, and Peking duck. Pretty large portions and great flavor in everything! Highlights were the wings: a simple, flavorful, thin batter that perfectly crispy. Served topped sliced peppers, scallions, and fried shallots. The Peking duck was wonderful - crispy skin and lots of flavor. It was all complemented with a gracious staff and inviting atmosphere. So many other items we want to try. Congratulations on opening! We'll be back!
