Had ackee, callaloo, banana, plantain boiled dumpling and stewed black beans...there is some wait time b/c food is prepared fresh. The wait time is nothing once you taste the food. IT WAS WORTH IT...The owner does you make feel like family.

I rarely write reviews, but the owner made an impression on me! It’s true what another reviewer said - she treats you like family. I thought it was odd that they open at 5pm every day except Saturday, when they open at 9am. Turns out Shelly is a technician for Verizon and this is her passion project that she does after her day job. She’s “retiring” soon to focus on this business so I think the hours will improve. I just met her and we only spoke for ten minutes but I’m so happy for her. She’s so warm and smiley and really passionate about helping people eat healthy. I hope the neighborhood will support her in pursuing her dream!

The sign says juice bar but they do more - smoothies, juices, bowls, patties, vegan muffins, and salads with a Carribbean vibe (ackee, sugar cane, sea moss, provisions, plantains, jerk salmon, etc). They have vegan patties made with lentil or ackee, which Shelly says the meat eaters love too. She also says people like the watermelon juice so much they buy 6 bottles at once and she has to be constantly making it to keep up. So those are my recommendations if you go!

Ms. Shelly is amazing. I tried the Escovitch fish, the green juice, and the cane juice. Everything was authentic, made with care, and tasted so good. Definitely stop by and try any of Ms. Shelly’s recommendations.

Pasa Pasa is a gem in the neighborhood. It’s amazing to have healthy Caribbean dishes so close by. Swing by and speak to Miss Shelley Shelley Shelly! She will give you love and treat you like family.
