“We were in the area and stopped in to check out Deer Run Winery. Super friendly staff and a nice selection of wines to sample. They have a pavilion up front for weddings and special events. There is also newer cafe and gift shop. The dry reisling and rose were our favorites. Their reds were above average for the region. All grapes are from the property or local area. Family owned and definitely worth a stop!”

The matcha was exactly what I was looking for and they were kind enough to add extra matcha for me (needed the pick-up) and sub cream for the milk. Service was great and friendly. Might make this a regular pit-stop on my frequent travels through town.”

“You can't really beat this restaurant! They treat you like family, from the wait staff to the cooks. My wife and I go there on a somewhat regular basis. ( Once or twice a month) The wait staff always great us and ask us how we are doing, and they seem to genuinely be interested. Well there was one day we took our son with us ( as of writing this he is a one year old) well the wait staff were just overjoyed to see him. We ordered our food and before it came out one of the cooks came out and said "the waitress said you brought your baby, I had to see the little guy!" We talked and he went back to the kitchen a few minutes later. After our food came out another cook came out to ask if our little guy was enjoying his food. That to me is probably the best feeling in the world. Staff that actually care about the customers and are willing to show it. Also the food is probably the best you are going to get in Dansville. Not to mention that the restaurant itself has a rich history. I'm not going to say what it is, I'll leave that to you to ask the staff there and find out!”
