Max Chophouse

Love the atmosphere! Servers are beyond professional. Value.

I chose Max for a business dinner and was definitely not disappointed... Max Chophouse resides in a little, non-descript plaza on Monroe Ave. I've driven by 100 times and never noticed it. I absolutely love these little places hidden in plain sight... certainly not much to look at from the street.

I have never been disappointed by their steaks or sides. There's more variety in appetizers/specials/desserts, and more variation in quality.

Service is consistently good, although it's not uncommon to wait ~15min to be seated, even with a reservation.

I don't eat here often at all, but eating a 42 oz porterhouse more than a couple times a year probably isn't the best thing for me or my pockets. That said, I absolutely would with no regrets. Always delicious.

First the good. The steak was excellent. The sides were tasty and plentiful. Good atmosphere, we had one of the better tables to sit at. Now the not so good. The drink I had was horrible, margarita. 15 bucks. Our server was incredibly slow and not interested. I love Max’s but a few bad moments hurt the overall experience. An expensive night but a great steak.
